Bloom's Taxonomy is an engaging, experimental electronic artist with a rich, spacious, downtempo sound. His textures tiptoe on the border of hope and despair, inspired by the decaying brutalist surroundings of South London and retro sci-fi sound tracks, layered on glitchy beats. His influences include Boards of Canada, Burial, Hot Chip, Fuck Buttons, Rival Consoles and Caribou.
Bloom’s Taxonomy’s first EP ‘Urbran’ had an online release by small record label ‘Bass Off Recordings’ in January this year. Since the release of ‘Urbran’, he has been performing energetically at venues around London. His act incorporates live looping and sampling to build the tracks entirely live which gives his performances a unique organic quality.
