I play soul, blues and rock and roll either by myself just with acoustic guitar or with a full band. It’s all classic stuff: I heard it through the grapevine, Ain’t no sunshine, Unchain my heart etc. played with style and verve. The band, Jim Preen Soul Set, is comprised of some of the finest musicians in London. On tenor sax we have Tim Sanders from the Kick Horns who did many tours with Eric Clapton and The Who. He appears on the Stones album ‘Steel Wheels’. Drummer Richard Marcangelo has played with The Clash, Desmond Dekker and Manfred Man’s Earthband just to name a few. And on Bass we have Simon Edwards who was part of Fairground Attraction and plays in Billy Bragg’s band. Plus, we have an incredible new talent on lead guitar Dan James Lee.
